Flaviu Bochis 

ANZIIF (Senior Assoc) CIP - Managing Director

 Flaviu joined Ginn & Penny in March 2022 as a Broker Account Executive and became Managing Director in early 2023. He is passionate about carrying on the great legacy started by Chris Penny and David Varley, building Ginn & Penny into one of the leading and most respected insurance brokerages in the SA market.

    Flaviu has worked in the General Insurance industry since 2002, over which time he has gained extensive experience in the areas of Commercial and Retail Insurance, including 19 years with Allianz Insurance. He has a passion for helping to develop talent and building long-term relationship with clients and insurers and enjoys being able to find solutions to enable businesses to thrive knowing their assets are protected.


    Flaviu has completed his Diploma in General Insurance and is a Certified Insurance Professional and Senior Associate of ANZIIF. He also serves on the Board of Baptist Insurance Services and Baptist Mutual as a Non-Executive Director.

Danilo Iannella

ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) CIP - Senior Account Executive

Danilo Iannella is our inhouse Property Underwriting expert, having spent more than 10 years working as an underwriter at Zurich and Allianz. He joined Ginn & Penny in January of 2024 and has quickly established himself as a leader within the business through his work ethic and commitment to excellence.

    Danilo began his insurance career like most of us, starting on the front desk and working his way up to a Broker Assistant and then a Broker role, before deciding to explore the Underwriting aspect of the industry. He has amassed 20 years of experience across Broking and Underwriting, which enable him to have a unique perspective when tailoring insurance programs for his clients. 


    Whilst he is passionate about Property insurance, he enjoys assisting clients with a large variety of insurance products, using his methodical and disciplined approach to get the best outcome for all parties.


    Outside of insurance Danilo enjoys spending time with his family and lifting weights and reading.

Michelle Mellow

ANZIIF (Assoc) CIP - Account Executive

Michelle is one of our most experienced team members, having joined Ginn & Penny in December 2009 and now having more than 22 years insurance experience across many disciplines in our industry. She has recently been promoted to Account Executive, taking on a portfolio of Commercial SME Clients.

Sandy Mazzarolo 

ANZIIF (Assoc) CIP, Dip Ins Brok - Account Manager

Sandy joined the firm in 2007 and is one of the pillars within our team, as well as our inhouse Claims expert. Sandy is a true professional and has completed her Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is also a Certified Insurance Professional.

Viet Tran-Nguyen

ANZIIF (Assoc) CIP,  Internal Account Executive

Viet joined Ginn & Penny in May 2023, having commenced his insurance career through a traineeship program and falling in love with the industry. He has been a fantastic addition to our team and has recently been promoted to an Internal Account Executive role where he is now looking after a group of Commercial SME Clients.

    Outside of work Viet enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer with his friends.

Alexander Bochis

ANZIIF (Affiliate) CIP - Account Manager

Alex just recently joined Ginn & Penny in January 2024, having finished year 12 and commencing his Corporate Finance degree at Adelaide University. Having started in a Broker Support role, Alex has quickly progressed to an Account Manager role looking after a portfolio of Domestic clients.

    Alex is new to the insurance industry but is passionate about doing a great job for his clients and providing them with tailored insurance solutions. 


    Outside of insurance Alex is undertaking part-time university studies at Adelaide Uni, studying Corporate Finance. He is also a keen Tottenham Hotspur fan and follows Golden State in the NBA.
